chapter seven, page forty nine:

He went to sleep at 3.30AM, all dressed up ready to leave, and woke up 2 hours later and finished up the packing. The bus left Dalian Polytechnic University at 6.30 for the airport and then he was ready to leave for Beijing.

The morning was wet. Just like how he had arrived in Dalian. Welcomed and sent off the same way. The weather dropped too, she cried for us.

Upon arrival at Beijing, he immediately headed to the Forbidden Palace and walked the whole stretch. It was a breath-taking site, a place he had always longed to go. The breath-taking site, unfortunately, slowly turned into a sigh-taking sight. Every section slowly looked the same, and there was nothing much left to snap for the camera.

As soon as he headed out of the Forbidden Palace, the big iconic photo of China hung proudly at the top of the wall. It was the portrait of Chairman Mao. Frantically he took out his camera and snapped furiously, an image he got excited over.

After which, he headed over to Tiananmen Square which really had nothing, and ended the day at the hotel.
