Jonathan woke up at 5.30AM today, the sun over here rises so early!

It was cold, freezing cold. He felt slightly sick, or at least having a sore throat thanks to the accumulation of oil and salt around the throat from all the food. He could feel the phlegm building up.
He and his
amiche headed to the Cherry Blossoms Festival by bus. It was a beautiful sight, he felt like he was in Japan instead of China! He walked around the place, snapping pictures frantically, walking up steep slopes and down, fighting against the chill of the wind. This time he wore six layers of clothes, as one of the local students going advised us to be extra warmed.

He had lunch with his group of friends in amongst the trees, with all the petals falling gracefully down to the ground, and sometimes down onto the food.
During the exhibition, he spotted some interesting craft going on. It involved some sort of leaves being weaved to create different animals.

Just before the whole excursion ended, Jonathan went to the toilet. It turned out to be a really interesting experience! Although almost the same as every male toilet, it has been quite long since he used the wall-type of urinal, that simply flows down against the wall into a drain and somewhere else. The other end were “cubicles” for passing motion, with wall that seemed to be only 800mm high. He was wondering, what was the point of it then. Is this what they called “redefine public and private spaces”? The floors were wet and dirty, probably the mess created into the drain. And from the urinal area, it overlooks to the outside where people could see him.

A rough idea of how the toilet looks like.

Pop corn making in China, interesting!
After the exhibition, he headed back to the student condominium. He met up with his counterpart Zhang Jiang with his friend Liu Shuang for dinner. Unfortunately, the fried rice was still soaking in oil and salty soup did not do justice for his throat. It was burning and crying for help.
He felt cold. Probably, or at least almost sick.
